Packhouse Engineering Manager– Pinebloom Packing LLC d/b/a Pinebloom Farms,
4040 Clear Lake Road, Newton, GA 39870- Full-time

Job Description: The Packhouse Engineering Manager will be the leader of our multi-line
packhouse and oversee quality assurance, operations management, and production flow. Build
and leverage strong working relationships with our client farmers, suppliers, and marketers to
assure cost, quality, delivery, and price targets are met. Responsible for daily calibration and
setting of all pack line sorters and fillers. Communicate daily with the Marketer and Farmers to
coordinate production activities. Communicate to the owner to ensure that materials and
inventory are on hand for daily requirements. Review current and potential product issues with
owner and farmers. Ensure all equipment and BBC software is maintained and in good and
sanitary operating condition. Keep accurate and up to date food safety logs notifying the Food
Safety Manager if there are corrective actions that need to be taken. Direct supervise packing
room employees including team leaders and ensure all employees are following food safety
guidelines and good manufacturing practices. Ensure daily packing and cleaning costs meet or
exceed standards to maximize efficiency and minimize labor daily. Ensure that Quality Control
standards for packaging and finished fruit are being met. Ensure that data for each run is being
tracked correctly within the company’s excel models.
Requirements: Must have Bachelor's degree or equivalent in agriculture engineering, food
engineering or closely related field and 5 years of experience managing a Blueberry Packhouse.
Ability to operate a forklift, as well as operate, maintain and perform repairs to BBC
Technologies packing equipment, including diagnosing problems and fixing issues, such as
Katos 260, Lucai Software, Color Sorter, Soft Sorter, Curo 12 & 16, Tomra Neon. Must have
experience with Ivan Donoso Blueberry Packhouse software. Must have experience setting,
operating, programming, and QAing BBCTechnologies line equipment and BBC Technologies
fill-by-weight Curo. Must have supervisory experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
